BASKETBALL EQUIPMENT
CyCert provides inspection of indoor and outdoor basketball equipment installed in municipalities and other public and private basketball courts.
Inspections are conducted in accordance with the requirements of European Standard EN 15312. This standard is applicable to open-access multi-sports equipment and combinations intended for permanent (not temporary) installation, which includes, but is not limited to, equipment for basketball, football, badminton, handball, hockey, table tennis, tennis, and volleyball. The Standard establishes requirements for the equipment, including its safety, as well as its installation, inspection, and maintenance.
CyCert inspectors conduct inspections using specialised equipment and calibres, which include the following:
- Inspection of the equipment visually.
- Dimensional inspection of all equipment components.
- Equipment with sharp edges.
- Any foundations that are visible.
- Components that are missing or have an abnormal amount of wear.
- Possibilities of entrapment on the equipment for the head, neck, fingers, or other body parts.
- The equipment’s structural integrity.
The stability of the basketball equipment is evaluated using loads specified in the Standard, which simulate the worst-case loading scenario.
CyCert provides the client with a detailed report detailing the inspection’s findings and photographs.
