CyCert, in collaboration with the Cyprus Oenophile Association, has developed a Certification Scheme for assessing and certifying individuals who wish to demonstrate their knowledge in the field of wine, winetasting and basic sommelery technics. Certified persons are nominated as Wine Connoisseurs.

The certification scheme was developed based on the requirements of ISO 17024 (Conformity assessment - General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons) and with input from interested parties.
